Balance Seekers Camp, the innergame of balance
Discover how mobilizing your inner resources—your focus, alignment, and breath—is the real secret to finding ultimate flow on your skates
On 23 August, Sofia (artistic skater and creator of Roller Yoga) and Mariska (rhythm skater and NLP/Mindfulness Mastercoach) are hosting the Balance Seekers Camp. This 4-hour program focuses entirely on the inner aspects of rollerskating: intention setting, understanding how your posture influences your state of being and centering yourself through breathwork and rolleryoga.
The event will take place from 10:00 to 14:00 (Amsterdam Time) at our Bliss and Balance centre in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, with options to join either in person or via Zoom.
Capacity for the live session is strictly limited (20 max).
This is NOT a rollerskate workshop ( but will improve your rollerskating game a 1000%) and the whole event will be in English.
Who are we?
Sofia, a professional artistic skater and coach founder of The Roller Skating Academy and creator of Roller Yoga.

For a long time, I focused on cultivating mine and my trainee’s physical balance. But it’s been a few years now that I got to understand and explore the importance of a balance mind as much as body to succeed on and off skates. After doing my 200hs Vinyasa, Yin and meditation yoga course I started to explore de possibility of combining skating and the principles of yoga: As skaters, we spend countless hours learning how to balance on one foot, control our edges, land jumps, and move with confidence. But over the years I've realised that the biggest challenges rarely come from the body alone. It’s a great balance between mind and body what makes the difference at the time to take over a new skating session or a new life challenge.
We all experience moments of self-doubt, frustration, comparison, fear, and the pressure of wanting to progress faster than we're ready to. Yet these are conversations that are often dismissed in regular skills classes.
This workshop was born from the belief that balance is more than a physical skill. It's the ability to stay connected to oneself while navigating challenges, growth, setbacks, and success. Through movement, reflection, intention setting, and practical tools, we hope to create a space where we can explore not only how we move on skates, but also how we move through life.
Mariska:
Over the past ten years, my journey across both my personal and professional life—as a mother, grandmother, entrepreneur, employee, and rollerskater—has led me to develop what I now call my own flow. After extensive coach training, deep spiritual study, meditation, and working with diverse groups of people, I am ready to share what I have learned.

My journey is not more soulful than yours; it is simply different, giving me a distinct perspective. Through my work as a (team)coach and as a trainer of the Soulful Fitness Rollerskate methodology, I have developed a broad understanding of flow. To me, flow means that energy moves freely through an aligned system, initiating fluid movement that transitions effortlessly into the next without stagnation—even if the process of getting there took effort.
Learning the skill of rollerskating over the past decades made me realize how this flow expresses itself. Moving carefree on my skates to my favorite music is my ultimate flow, but I could only achieve this by working on my "inner game."
As Tim Gallwey (1974) established, the inner game takes place within you, addressing obstacles like fear, doubt, distraction, and limiting beliefs. Mastering this inner game requires mobilizing your inner resources—your values, emotional intelligence, and purpose—to overcome these hurdles and reach your full potential in the outer game.
It all begins with balance
